Since its founding, America's freedom and economic opportunity have been a beacon, attracting people from around the world who seek to build a better life. Despite its attraction for many abroad, the US still has domestic challenges that limit access to the American Dream: one in six adults has not completed high school (45 million); one in 10 adults live under the poverty level (35 million); one in five children go to bed hungry every night (15 million); and approximately 400,000 children are living in foster homes. In this dialogue, leaders in business, education, and philanthropy will discuss innovative solutions for housing, job training, and education that can be scaled regionally and nationally to open the door more widely to prosperity for all.
