3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Milken Institute School of Public Health - GWU

In partnership with BrightFocus Foundation, the Milken Institute will host a private screening of Turning Point, an award-winning documentary by acclaimed filmmaker James Keach. The film explores the quest for the first medication to successfully treat the underlying process of Alzheimer's disease and takes on some of the complex issues facing our American health care system, including the ongoing debate over the value of medicines. It also provides an overview of the causes and effects of Alzheimer's, and the disease's potentially devastating impact on the US economy, with the number of cases projected to double in the next 20 years. A panel discussion and reception will follow the film.
