My name is Mina Mushtaq. I am a student at Arizona State University studying global management. I was in my final year of BA majoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Asian University For Women but could not continue after the fall of Kabul and evacuation in the U.S.A. I worked as a communication manager, film script translator, and narrator with London Bridge film academy and Bamyan film academy. I worked as a translator and teacher with Momtaze foreign language Institute in Afghanistan. Currently, as an intern, I am writing stories for children for Dr. Myatt Academy. I participated in Bamyan Advocacy Network activities and events supported by the IFES’s Strengthening Political Entities and Civil Society (SPECS) Projects for more than two years in Bamyan, Afghanistan. Continuing my advocacy activities, I am participating in Advocacy Day: Nationwide Support For Issues impacting Refugees, and as an Afghan refugee myself I have been advocating for Afghan refugees with Jesuit Refugee Service/USA and Human Rights First over the past six months. I am advocating and looking forward to a better future for Afghan people and refugees and people all over the world.
