John Della Volpe

John Della Volpe is the director of polling at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, where he has led the institute’s polling initiatives on understanding American youth since 2000. The Washington Post referred to him as one of the world’s leading authorities on global sentiment, opinion, and influence, especially among youth and in the age of digital and social media. John is the author of the critically acclaimed new book "FIGHT: How Gen Z is Channeling Their Fear and Passion to Save America,” which is an Amazon Editor’s Pick for Best Non-Fiction and has been called a “provocative pleasure,” “a compelling, comprehensive, and intensively readable roadmap,” and the “definitive account of America’s next great generation.”Della Volpe is also the founder and CEO of SocialSphere, a public opinion research firm, and has advised heads of state, Fortune 100 CEOs, military generals, athletes, and entertainers—most recently, serving as pollster and strategic communications advisor to President Biden and his 2020 campaign. In 2008, John received an Eisenhower Fellowship for which he traveled extensively throughout Asia (including a supervised day in North Korea) studying millennials. John appears regularly on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and the 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle.
