Mr. Coppel is the Chief Financial Services Officer of Grupo Coppel and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BanCoppel and Afore Coppel after holding various roles in areas such as product development, market research, investments, trusts, and compliance. Additionally, Mr. Coppel heads the investment and economic outlook departments of Grupo Coppel, directing the global investment portfolio. Prior to joining Grupo Coppel, he was part of Bain & Company, as an associate consultant, where he developed analytical skills and focused on the strategic vision of companies. Mr. Coppel is a member of the board of directors of various companies such as Grupo Coppel ( the largest retail in México and the third in Latin America) and Bolsa Institucional de Valores (BIVA). Mr. Coppel is counselor at “Enseña por México”, whose aim is to provide children and young people with quality education, a high impact in the academic and social field. Mr. Coppel has a Bachelor's degree in Systems and Industrial Engineering from Tec de Monterrey and MBA from Babson College Boston, specializing in corporate finance and capital markets.
