Obichi is a public health physician, a serial entrepreneur, and an innovation expert. He is the program manager and coordinator of I-FAIR Israel Nigeria (Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Inventors and Researchers) –an innovation and entrepreneurship development program of the state of Israeli in collaboration with the government of Nigeria. He is the founder of an innovative education training platform and business incubation called the Young Innovation Leaders (YIL) Fellowship. YIL is designed to raise young professionals who can inspire and lead innovations in their spheres. Since 2018, the YIL Fellowship has worked with different organizations and multilateral agencies to solve important challenges through innovation. Beyond having over 13 years of experience in entrepreneurship, he is an experienced mentor who has mentored on different global platforms including the National Institute of Health Commercialization Accelerator Program (for biotech startups), the New York Academy of Sciences (Global STEM Alliance), and the Global Health Mentorship (GHMe) program. Obichi is a Nigerian-trained physician. He obtained a Master of Public Health degree from Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Pears Scholar. He also obtained an MBA with a focus in Venture, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from Tel Aviv University, Israel.
