Deep Nishar is Senior Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers (SBIA) and leads the Frontier Tech, Life Sciences and Enterprise Software investing teams. Some of his representative investments include Slack (WORK), 10X Genomics (TXG), Guardant Health (GH), OSIsoft, Improbable Worlds and Cohesity. Mr. Nishar has 20+ years of experience helping to build and grow successful software and internet businesses. Prior to joining SBIA, Mr. Nishar served as the Senior Vice President of Products and User Experience at LinkedIn. He was responsible for setting and executing the company’s global product strategy and led the product management, data science, user experience and web design teams. Before LinkedIn, Mr. Nishar worked at Google from 2003 to 2009, where he headed product strategy for the Asia Pacific region, led the company’s mobile initiatives, and built the systems used for managing Google's global customer base. Previously, Mr. Nishar was Founder and Vice President of products at enterprise software company Patkai Networks. Mr. Nishar received a B. Tech with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, a MSEE from University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, and an MBA from Harvard Business School with honors.
