In 2011, Richard entered the NFL Draft and was selected in 5th round, 154th overall, by the Seattle Seahawks and earned a spot on the 2011 All-Rookie team. Since coming into the league, Richard has been named to five Pro Bowl rosters and five All-Pro teams and has 35 career interceptions. In 2013, Richard and the Seahawks won their first Super Bowl. He finished the year as a 1st Team All-Pro cornerback, Pro Bowler, and most importantly, Super Bowl Champion. Richard signed with the San Francisco 49ers in 2018 and helped them get back to the Super Bowl. Richard’s passion for financial literacy led him to partner with the Singleton Foundation for Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship by hosting a show on their free digital channel called Million Stories. His show, ADULTING WITH RICHARD SHERMAN, helps young people manage their finances as they embark on their first adult decisions.
