Jarvis V. Hollingsworth is the Chair, Board of Directors of the Texas Teachers' Retirement System and is the General Counsel and serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P., a leading alternatives investment management firm with approximately $30 billion in assets. He is a former Partner of the law firm Bracewell LLP where he served on the firm’s management committee. Mr. Hollingsworth is a former Director of Emergent Technologies LP, a financial technology company that provides payment services in emerging markets and new blockchain-based payment technologies, and is also a former Director of Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. (Frost Bank) (NYSE: CFR), based in San Antonio, TX. He formerly served as Chair of the Board of Regents of the University of Houston System, and is also a former director of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Hollingsworth received a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served for several years on active and reserve duty in the U.S. Army. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Mr. Hollingsworth is a direct appointment of the governor.
