Michael Beckerman is the President and CEO of Internet Association where he advances public policy that fosters innovation, promotes economic growth, and empowers people through the free and open internet. Under his leadership, association membership has grown to over 40 top internet companies from a founding group of 10 companies. Michael is regularly cited as an authority on internet policy and topical policy issues. He was recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as one of DC's Tech Titans and by Recode as one of Silicon Valley's top advocates in Washington. Beckerman is on the national board of After-School All-Stars, an organization that provides free, comprehensive After-School programs to over 90,000 at-risk children in 19 U.S. markets. He is also active in the local angel investing community in Washington, DC, where he has invested in a number of local startups.
