Jared Kushner joined the White House in 2017 as Senior Advisor to President Donald Trump. He was given a wide-ranging portfolio, which includes the US-Mexico relationship, the Middle East Peace effort, and the administration’s successful efforts to pass historic Prison and Criminal Justice Reforms. Before joining the Trump administration, he oversaw many aspects of the Trump presidential campaign while simultaneously leading real estate, media, and technology businesses based in New York. He became CEO of Kushner Companies in 2008, and over the next eight years, Kushner Companies became one of the fastest growing private real estate companies in the country, completing over $14 billion of transactions across multiple sectors and geographies. He also cofounded two technology companies, Cadre and Wiredscore. In 2007, he purchased and became publisher of the New York Observer, and expanded the company to purchase and start several new media and publishing ventures. In 2015, he was named to Fortune’s 40 under 40 list for his work as CEO of Kushner Companies. In 2017, he was named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People and in 2018, Jared received the Aztec Eagle Award, Mexico’s highest honor, for his work on the USMCA trade agreement.
