Beth Breger

Beth Breger is the Executive Director of Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA), a nonprofit that empowers a community of exceptional young leaders from under-resourced backgrounds by supporting their higher education and professional success. LEDA seeks to create an inclusive and equitable America where leadership reflects, celebrates, and supports diverse perspectives. Beth has dedicated her career to championing educational equity and access for marginalized young people. Prior to LEDA, Beth spent five years at the NYC Department of Education, where she spearheaded the implementation of enrollment policy reforms for the system's most vulnerable populations. She also founded New York's first school admission office for court-involved students while working at the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services. Beth spent eight years at the Open Society Foundations, where she managed the education grantmaking portfolio for the Office of US Programs, founded the Urban Debate Program, and coordinated education programs in the former Soviet states. Beth is an alumna of Brown University and of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
