Carl Mergele is the Chief Executive Officer of STATS, the revolutionary leader in sports artificial intelligence (AI). STATS collects the deepest, most granular sports data and unlocks it through AI to help our partners derive the most value from sports and develop rich experiences for billions of fans. Since joining STATS as CEO, Mergele has overseen the expansion of STATS' industry-leading AI, machine learning and computer vision platforms, leading to the launch of a host of new products and company patents. Most recently, STATS launched AutoSTATS, the first AI-powered computer vision technology to capture sports tracking data via broadcast video, currently in use for team and player tracking in college basketball. Pending customary closing and regulatory approval, Mergele also oversaw the recent combination of STATS with global sports content company Perform Group, to combine STATS' world-class expertise in AI with both companies' rich historical sports data archives. Mergele holds a Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in English from the University of Utah.
