During his tenure, Carney led the annual Global Conference and was instrumental in increasing the Institute's programmatic and revenue growth. He also served as a senior advisor to Knowledge Universe, the Milken family's private equity vehicle. Carney was a pioneer in the Internet/high-tech and media industries where he founded, launched or helped build a number of disruptive companies and technologies which he helped steer to successful exits. Board positions include Brandenburg Realty, an international property company; Secured Natural Resources, a rare earth company. Senior Advisor to RMR Industrials, Inc.
