Mr. Robbins is the Founder and CEO of Blue Harbour Group, L.P. The firm’s investment strategy is to employ active ownership strategies in the public markets as it serves as a lead minority stockholder in public companies, working in collaboration with company managements and boards to build and unlock shareholder value. Mr. Robbins has more than 30 years of experience in the investment management business. Prior to forming Blue Harbour, Mr. Robbins had been a Managing Member of General Atlantic Partners, LLC, a global private equity firm from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, Mr. Robbins had been a General Partner of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. where he worked from 1987 until 2000. At KKR, he played a significant role in many of the firm’s leveraged buyout transactions and financings and was also intimately involved with the firm’s capital markets activities. He graduated with an A.B. from Harvard College and received his M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He has served on the board of more than fifteen public and private companies. He is a member of the Boards of Overseers and Managers of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and also serves as Vice Chairman of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council.
