Jeb Mason is Partner in The Cypress Group, a Washington-based financial services and public affairs consultancy where Jeb helps investment managers, Fortune 100 businesses and start-up enterprises identify opportunities and navigate risks in today's dynamic public policy environment. Prior to Cypress, Mason served as Deputy Assistant Secretary and Policy Advisor to Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, where he played a key role in developing the department's views on domestic and international economic policy, and helped craft and execute the administration's early response to the housing and financial crisis for 2007 & 2008 - service for which he was granted the Distinguish Service Award by Secretary Paulson. Mason previously served at the White House, providing strategic advice to senior officials on major policy initiatives including tax reform, healthcare reform, and economic competitiveness. He earlier served in a succession of national security posts, including the Pentagon, the White House, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq. Mason holds degrees in Economics and Public Policy from Southern Methodist University. He currently resides in his native Dallas with his family.
