Gregory Beard is the Global Head of Natural Resources and a Senior Partner at Apollo, having joined the Firm in 2010. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and oversees all investment activities in the energy, metals and mining and agriculture sectors. Apollo private equity funds have invested or committed to invest approximately $11.7 billion in natural resources-related investments as of December 2018. He has served as a member of our board of directors since October 18, 2017. Previously, Mr. Beard was at Riverstone Holdings, an energy-focused private equity firm, as a founding member and managing director. He began his career as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he played an active role in energy-sector principal investment activities. Mr. Beard currently serves on the boards of directors of Apex Energy, LLC, Caelus Energy Alaska, LLC, CSV Midstream Solutions GP LLC, Double Eagle Energy Holdings III LLC, DoublePoint Energy, LLC, Jupiter Resources GP LLC, Roundtable Energy Holdings LLC, Pegasus Optimization Partners, LLC, Northwoods Energy LLC, and Tumbleweed Royalty, LLC.
