David Bohigian assumed the role of Acting President and CEO of OPIC in March 2019. Previously, he was appointed by President Donald J. Trump to serve as the Executive Vice President of OPIC, joining the agency in August 2017. Before joining OPIC, Mr. Bohigian served as the Managing Director of Pluribus Ventures, where he advised innovative financial services firms and invested in impact-driven companies. Earlier, Mr. Bohigian served on the core management team of Bridgewater Associates, the world's largest hedge fund. Prior to Bridgewater, he founded E2 Capital Partners, which developed new financing models for energy efficiency projects. From 2002 to 2009, Mr. Bohigian held several senior positions at the U.S. Department of Commerce under the George W. Bush administration including Assistant Secretary for Market Access and Compliance in the International Trade Administration. Prior to that, he was the Director of the Department of Commerce's Office of Policy and Strategic Planning as the lead economic and energy advisor to two Secretaries. Mr. Bohigian earned his B.A. in journalism from Washington & Lee University and his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
