Michael Turken, MD, MPH is the Medical Director at Omada Health, where he works collaboratively across departments to enable people everywhere to live free of chronic disease. As a physician and health tech innovator, he's passionate about preventive health, patient empowerment, public health, and medical education. He's deeply driven by the opportunity to enable health organizations to use data as a means to revolutionize diagnosis and chronic disease management. In addition to working at Omada, Michael works part-time as an urgent care physician at UCSF. Prior to his current roles, he was a primary care physician and clinical project manager at Forward, a tech-enabled direct primary care practice based in San Francisco. Michael received his MD from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford. He received his MPH from the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health, and his BA in Molecular Biology and English from Amherst College.
