Mohamed Adel Ghanem, MD is the Head of Healthcare at Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) where he oversees QIA’s investments in the healthcare industry and plays a crucial role in shaping QIA’s investment strategy in the healthcare sector. He has held the role since 2016, and prior to that was a healthcare analyst within the Fund. Mohamed is a trained physician and practiced as a cardiologist before transitioning into investment. He holds a medical degree from Alexandria University, as well as a Master’s in Cardiology and Angiology. Prior to joining QIA, he held the positions of Associate in Investment Banking at EFG Hermes and an Assistant Lecturer of Cardiology and Angiology at Alexandria University Main Hospital.
