Mr. Turtelboom started his career at the International Monetary Fund before joining the emerging markets group at Deutsche Bank. He subsequently became global co-Head of emerging markets at Morgan Stanley overseeing its sales and trading activities and capital markets transactions in emerging markets. During his career, he worked on several ground-breaking transactions in emerging markets, including the first transaction involving Russian Paris-Club debt, the issuance of the largest Eurobond denominated in Mexican peso, major currency hedging transactions in Turkey and multi-billion US dollar lending facilities in the CIS. In 2008, Mr. Turtelboom and a core team of MS professionals joined GLG Partners to lead its emerging markets practice. Mr. Turtelboom holds a PhD in Economics from Columbia University and currently serves as a Senior Fellow at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
