Olga Morales-Pate has been an environmental justice and rural community advocate for over twenty years. Her focus has been basic rural infrastructure development across the country, the U.S. Territories, and Tribal communities. Morales-Pate’s experience includes advocacy and policy development at the national and state level. Olga has been a member and chair of the National Drinking Water Advisory Council for EPA where she led efforts such as Climate Ready Water Utilities (CRWU). In recent times, Morales Pate worked on the passage of the Regional Water Systems Resiliency Act in the state of New Mexico which allows utilities to form regional governance structures to create long-term, sustainable solutions at the regional level. Olga’s approach to community development includes the development of infrastructure at different levels--including human infrastructure. She has many years of experience facilitating the implementation of regional long-term solutions, an approach for which she is known as a national leader. Morales Pate is a graduate from New Mexico State University.
