Manuel Fankhauser is the CEO of Seerave Foundation, a family foundation that uses a combination of traditional grant donations towards academic researchers as well as equity investments into early-stage start-ups to accelerate the generation of scientific evidence and its translation into innovative tools and treatments to enhance cancer care. Manuel has been involved in advisory roles in multiple startups, is on the board of the non-profit Microbiota Vault initiative, was co-founder and president of Innovation Forum Lausanne, and a former Fellow at the innovation foundry at Flagship Pioneering in Boston. Manuel holds a PhD in Bioegnineering from the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne.
