Jeffrey Solomon

Mr. Solomon is President of TD Cowen, a division of TD Securities, and Vice Chair of TD Securities. He was Chair and CEO of Cowen from 2018 until the company’s acquisition by TD Bank Group in March 2023. Previously, Mr. Solomon was President of Cowen after serving as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Investment Banking.

Mr. Solomon is a trustee of The Committee for Economic Development of The Conference Board (CED) and serves on the board of the American Securities Association (ASA). A passionate advocate for small companies and emerging businesses, from 2019 – 2023, he was Vice Chair and an inaugural member of the SEC’s Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee, which provides advice and recommendations on Commission rules, regulations and policy matters related to small businesses. Previously, Mr. Solomon was a member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation, an independent and nonpartisan 501(c)(3) research organization dedicated to improving the regulation of US capital markets. He was also the co-chair of the Equity Capital Formation Task Force, a group of individuals from across the country’s startup and small-capitalization company ecosystems advocating for market structure reform to encourage job creation and growth. Mr. Solomon has testified before Congress on matters relating to capital formation and market structure and was influential in advising members of Congress on the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, which became law in 2012.

Mr. Solomon graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988 with a BA in Economics.
