Estella Nyimba
Senior Economist, Ministry of Finance and National Planning of Zambia; IFC-Milken Institute Scholar
Estella is a Senior Economist in the Ministry of Finance and National Planning of Zambia with over five years’ experience in public debt management. She is currently part of the Ministry team that is leading Zambia's debt restructuring exercise. Her contributions to this process have included providing critical data for the IMF's debt sustainability analysis and leading the Country-led debt sustainability analysis exercise.
She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Zambia and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Economic Policy Management from the same institution. As an IFC-Milken Institute Scholar, Estella is passionate about addressing unsustainable public debt and promoting the development of green and sustainable finance initiatives in emerging markets.
As part of the IFC-Milken Institute Capital Markets Program, Estella completed her internship with IFC Treasury.
