Vinay Awasthi, Managing Director, Greater Asia, is responsible for HP’s business in the region, including Go-To-Market strategy, sales and marketing across PCs, Printers, Digital Press, 3D Printing and Managed Services for both commercial and consumer segments. Prior to his current role, Vinay was Global Head of HP’s Print Operations, overseeing an HP team of over 2000 employees and thousands of manufacturing and R&D partners in delivering a seamless, differentiated customer experience through best-in-class cost management, operational processes and strategic partnerships. With over two decades of experience working at HP, Vinay has held key leadership roles across the region such as Managing Director of HP Inc. India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, where he was responsible for managing and growing HP’s personal systems, printers, 3D printing solutions and services business. Vinay also helped grow HP’s Personal Systems business in Asia Pacific and Japan as its General Manager and Vice President. Under his leadership, the Personal Systems business in APJ recorded the highest ever market share in the last 10 years and became the No.1 leader in the commercial PC segment in Asia-Pacific excluding China. His other roles included being the Head of HP India for the PC Category, Director of Product Marketing for Emerging Businesses, and leadership of Managed Home initiatives in the worldwide team. Before joining HP, Vinay worked at LG, Motorola and Steel Authority of India. Vinay holds a postgraduate degree in management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.
