Dr. Geurrero holds a PhD in economics with experience in health policy, research, education and journalism. Has worked as researcher at the Harvard School of Public Health. Has been viceminister of Social Protection in Colombia, researcher at Fedesarrollo, editor of business and economics at Semana magazine, founding director of PROESA (think tank in health policy) and Dean of Economics and Finance at Universidad Icesi. Has served as board member of organizations in the financial, social and technology sectors. Was member of the Technical Advisory Committee convened by the Colombian president during the Covid 19 pandemic. Currently serves as Principal Specialist of the Social Protection and Health Division of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington DC.
