Meera Al Suwaidi is the Head of Value Creation at Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi-based sovereign investor managing a US $284 billion portfolio spanning six continents with interests in multiple sectors and asset classes. In this role, she is responsible for identifying synergies and driving growth opportunities within portfolio companies, helping them to leverage Mubadala’s scale and reach. Meera also oversees the development of Hub71, ensuring that Abu Dhabi’s technology ecosystem continues to establish itself as the preeminent home for next generation start-ups and technology companies.
Since joining Mubadala in 2007, Meera has held a number of senior roles within the organization, and has been a key player in some of the company’s most important projects and developments. She has also held positions within Mubadala’s Government Affairs as well as its Structured Finance and Capital Markets units.
Meera is also an appointed member representing the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the UAE’s current cabinet and parliamentary body of the United Arab Emirates; the Federal National Council. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from Sciences Po, France, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the American University in Dubai, UAE, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
