LOS ANGELES -- Dale Bonner, former secretary of business, transportation and housing for the State of California, has joined the Milken Institute as senior advisor.
Bonner is one of California’s most experienced public servants. He served as head of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency from 2007 to 2011, overseeing roughly $20 billion of annual expenditures on infrastructure, programs, and services vital to California's economy. During his tenure, Bonner served as chair of the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank and the Public Infrastructure Advisory Commission, as well as serving on many other boards and commissions.
Prior to serving as secretary, Dale was a partner at Epstein, Becker & Green, and served as California's commissioner of corporations (1998-1999), deputy secretary and general counsel to the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency (1996-1998), and deputy counsel to the governor (1992-1996).
Bonner is the founder and principal of Cal-Infra Advisors, Inc., a consulting firm providing advice on California infrastructure policy, programs, and projects. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, and earned his B.A. at the University of Southern California. "We are delighted and honored to welcome Dale Bonner to the Institute,
