Sonia Weymuller

Co-Founder and General Partner, VentureSouq

Sonia Weymuller is a Co-Founder and General Partner at VentureSouq (VSQ), a MENA-based venture capital fund manager with a global portfolio where she leads the firm’s ClimateTech investment practice. Previously, she was an Investment Consultant for Acumen’s KawiSafi Fund focused on off-grid solar energy in East Africa, worked in Commercial Development at Turner Broadcasting in Dubai, with Viacom’s Emerging Markets Strategy Group and with Microsoft’s Strategy and M&A team in London. Sonia is a Jury member for the Cartier Women’s Initiative, a mentor for the Atlantic Council and Georgetown University WIn Fellowship and an Expert for wildlife conservation-focused tech platform The Ark. She serves as the UAE Director for the Yale Alumni Schools Committee and is a member of the Yale President’s Council on International Activities. Sonia holds a B.A. from Yale University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and is a Kauffman Fellow.
