Resiliency and Returns: Can ESG Really Improve Returns and Mitigate Risk?
Communities around the world are increasingly faced with questions related to sustainability. Extreme weather events and growing urban populations are forcing investors and governments, alike, to take a hard look at the resiliency of their cities. As the interest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing continues to grow, this session offers a look at how ESG is currently being integrated into traditional asset management. The session will cover current events, such as investment exposure to the Amazon, but also broader themes such as how to finance complete communities and resilient infrastructure moving forward. In particular, we will look at how products have evolved across asset classes and how investors are developing more substantive metrics to measure both financial and impact returns.
