Feeding the Planet: Innovations in Food and Agriculture

The world's population is expected to grow by almost 2 billion in the next 20 years. Along with increasing rural-to-urban migration flows, the world is approaching a crisis of food production. In Asia, India and Indonesia will be two of the biggest contributors to this growth.

Rapid urbanization has caused a shift in tastes toward processed food, while at the same time, low-income communities struggle to even meet their minimum nutritional requirements. This panel explores innovations to continue feeding the world's hungry with not just quantity, but quality.

How can Asia tackle its Triple Burden of undernutrition, obesity and micronutrient malnutrition through innovative finance and agricultural technologies? What role does technology play in meeting changing dietary needs and preferences? How are corporations, entrepreneurs and investors fueling innovations to satisfy the desire for healthier options?
