Petra Freddi is a senior director of business and program development at the Milken Institute in Singapore. She is responsible for deepening engagement across a network of supporters including financial institutions, investment funds, corporations, and individual philanthropists. Freddi is responsible for three main constituent groups in Asia. She manages Asia's Global Capital Markets Advisory Council, a platform for the region's most prominent institutional investors to gather and discuss key issues and trends that affect their investment decisions. Her responsibilities also include the growth of the Institute's Family Program for ultra-high-net worth individuals, a private setting where prominent families discuss important issues, from family dynamics and creating a meaningful legacy to intergenerational succession planning and strategic philanthropy. In addition, Freddi is responsible for the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle in Asia, which brings together the region's next generation of leaders. Building on her career in finance, Freddi designs original and relevant programs for the Institute's finance track. Prior to joining the Institute, Freddi spent five years at Apollo Management in Singapore, a leading global alternative asset manager with $168 billion under management. Freddi was responsible for marketing and investor relations in Asia. In her role she covered hedge funds, private equity, and real estate funds. Before moving to Asia, Freddi was based in London. She worked in the investment team of Baugur Group, a private equity fund specialized in investing in luxury goods and retail companies. Prior to joining Baugur Group, she worked in luxury goods equity research at Lehman Brothers. She started her career at Goldman Sachs. Freddi holds a master's degree from HEC Paris Grande Ecole as well as master's degree from the Economics University in Prague. Freddi is a global citizen, having lived in Prague, Paris, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore and speaks six languages.
