Jakob Wilhelmus heads the finance and economics program at the Milken Institute. As a member of the events team, he organizes the Institute’s summits and conferences around the globe, bringing regulators, thought leaders, and market participants together to exchange views on what is top of mind. In addition to programming activities, Wilhelmus has a proven track record of impactful research. His work focuses on identifying and analyzing financial data to produce a better understanding of the behavior and underlying structure of markets and its participants. Wilhelmus is the author of several reports, policy notes, and papers that are frequently referenced in the news and policy discussions. He holds an M.Sc. in economics from the Free University of Berlin and is an accredited Financial Risk Manager by GARP.
