How Philanthropic Capital Can Punch Above its Weight (Invite only)

Philanthropy is private capital for public good. Compared to government and commercial capital, it is minuscule. However, philanthropic capital is usually able to punch above its weight because of its key comparative advantages. It is both nimble and patient, not being beholden to the pressures of shareholder expectations or the vagaries of election cycles. And, when invested with intentionality, it can be risk tolerant, collaborative, and meaningfully inclusive by raising the voices of underrepresented stakeholders and working to fill gaps in human capital by injecting diverse viewpoints. This session will bring together philanthropists and social impact leaders to share experiences, learn from one another, and showcase key case studies of philanthropic capital in action.
