WASHINGTON – More than 700 medical research innovators from 30 states and six countries will come together Nov. 1-3 in New York for the 7th annual Partnering for Cures meeting. Convened by FasterCures, a Washington-based center of the Milken Institute, this unique conference assembles senior government officials, patient advocates, scientists, major investors, industry CEOs and philanthropists to forge the partnerships needed to accelerate medical progress.
“Opportunity is upon us, and the timing could not be more critical,” said FasterCures Executive Director Margaret Anderson. “As national policymakers cross the aisle to advance the search for cures, patient input and creative problem-solving are at a premium. That’s what Partnering for Cures is all about—bringing innovative ideas, strategic capital and disruptive thinkers together to transform the system so that every disease, and every patient, can benefit.”
This year’s conference will feature a new, evolved format that emphasizes hands-on problem solving through a mix of facilitated workshops, town-hall style discussions, hot-button panels and fast-paced presentations, all geared toward highlighting patient-centered solutions to the thorniest challenges in research and development.
