This private session will allow for panelists from the session "Resilient Communities, Successful Disaster Recovery" to continue their discussion, along with a group of carefully selected invitees, in a setting where comments will not be reported or attributed. The purpose is to agree upon specific action items, including the formation of dedicated working groups, in order to move forward in achieving solutions to identified problems. Attendees will include a cross-section of stakeholders, including leaders from the government, civil society, and the for-profit and non-profit private sector. Following the model from the Milken Institute's Global Conference 2019, corporate representatives and social impact leaders will be brought in by the Institute's Center for Strategic Philanthropy and its Center for Public Health to speak about private resource mobilization—using philanthropic capital versus government funds.
