Since the release of the 2016 Milken Institute seminal report, "The Price Women Pay for Dementia: Strategies to Ease Gender Disparity and Economic Costs," new evidence-based research and insights have emerged that expand our understanding of the disease and the most effective ways to reduce risk and lower costs. During this private, invitation-only session, a diverse set of stakeholders will be asked to provide input on a series of proposed policy recommendations that address: the importance of brain health to delay (and possibly prevent) onset; barriers to early diagnosis and clinical-trial participation; disparate impacts based on gender, race/ethnicity, and income; and risk-reduction strategies to improve brain health for all populations.
