In 2015, the international community committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a comprehensive set of 17 targets touching on nearly all aspects of development, by 2030. While all sectors are united in this objective, they have yet to embrace the kind of deliberate, systemic, and inclusive approach necessary to eliminating the persisting inequities that prevent billions of people from building healthy, meaningful lives for themselves, their families, and their communities. With 11 years left to achieve the SDGs, how can collaborative efforts across sectors be catalyzed to mobilize resources, accelerate improved health outcomes, and maximize health equity globally?
