Sarah McKee

Associate Director, Strategic Philanthropy

Sarah McKee is an associate director within the Strategic Philanthropy pillar at the Milken Institute. She focuses on business development, strategic planning, and partnership engagement, including support for the Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration team.

With more than a decade of experience, McKee has led the design and implementation of programs across the Global South in collaboration with governments, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), and local partners. Her work has centered on advancing equitable health access, building cross-sector partnerships, and translating policy into practice.

Previously, McKee served as a policy analyst with the US Department of Health and Human Services and as a senior project officer at an international health NGO, working across project management and development, advocacy and policy, strategic communications, and technical assistance. She also spent a year in Zambia as a Peace Corps response volunteer, developing community health capacity-building programs with government partners.

McKee holds a master of public health from George Mason University and is based in the Washington, DC, office.
