
Michelle King
Michelle King is a director in the Strategic Philanthropy pillar at the Milken Institute. Based in Alexandria, VA, she brings years of experience in executive strategy, operations, and program management to the Institute.
Prior to joining the Milken Institute, King served as an associate partner at New Profit, where she led field- and ecosystem-building initiatives. Previously, she was a strategic portfolio lead at MIT Solve and director of US Fellows at Ashoka. Earlier in her career, she worked as a management consultant in the public sector, specializing in organizational strategy, change management, and communications. She also completed internships with several key government organizations, including the US Congress, the White House, and INTERPOL.
King is an Education Pioneers Fellow and holds a BS in political science with a focus on international relations from Old Dominion University, as well as an executive MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
Outside of her professional life, King is an avid reader and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and visiting farmers' markets. She loves spending time with family and friends and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
