Marc McDonald
Marc McDonald is a director at Milken Institute Philanthropy, guiding strategic, operational, and financial planning and external engagement for the pillar. Previously, McDonald oversaw strategic and operational integration for the AARP Foundation, which also included executive communications, board governance, and management and partnerships. In his first role at the AARP Foundation, he created its first grant stewardship and grant-making department and led two White House Social Innovation Fund awards. McDonald has served on multiple boards, including The Root Cause Coalition, L.A. Kitchen, Public Media Business Association, and PEAK Grantmaking, where he served as co-chair. McDonald earned his BA from Dartmouth College and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He’s also actively involved with the Telluride Film Festival, where he oversees theaters and volunteer training and provides operational consulting.
