David Bohigian
David Bohigian is an impact investor with extensive experience in investment, management, government and international development. He manages Pluribus Ventures, an impact fund of funds, with private investments in affordable housing, clean energy, online education, financial services, healthcare research and Veterans. Bohigian led the Overseas Private Investment Corporation's transformation to the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. Bohigian approved more than $5B in investments and was instrumental in the bipartisan passage of the BUILD Act.
Earlier, he served on the core management team of Bridgewater Associates, the world's largest hedge fund. Prior to Bridgewater, Mr. Bohigian founded E2 Capital Partners, which developed new financing models for energy efficiency projects. Mr. Bohigian also served in the George W. Bush administration as Assistant Secretary in the International Trade Administration. Earlier, Bohigian led the Department's Policy Office as the lead economic and energy advisor to two Secretaries. Mr. Bohigian started his career in venture capital, where he worked as Managing Director for Idealab. With Idealab, he helped lead the New York and London offices, and was CEO of a major online jewelry company. He joined Idealab after they acquired the incubator he founded, Washington, DC-based VenCatalyst. He earned his B.A. from Washington & Lee and his J.D. from Washington University. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Milken Institute, a member of the Eagle Scout Association and the Council on Foreign Relations, as well as active in other civic institutions.
