Forrest Li is Sea's founder and has served as its Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer since its inception in 2009. Sea’s mission is to better the lives of the consumers and small businesses with technology. Its market includes Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. Sea operates three platforms across digital entertainment, ecommerce, and digital financial services, known as Garena, Shopee, and AirPay, respectively. Sea successfully listed its stock on the NYSE in October 2017. Its IPO was the largest ever US IPO and internet IPO by a Southeast Asian company. Forrest previously held positions in multinational corporations such as Viacom Media Networks, Corning Inc. and Motorola. Forrest holds an M.B.A. degree from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
