October 7th has had a profound impact on the Israeli economy and the economies of the entire region. This working session is called to develop and shape financial policy strategies and programs for the post-war period ahead. We will address the questions: What is needed? What can we do? What do we propose for an investment-led recovery? Our focus will be to ensure a rapid rebound in economic growth in Israel and surrounding regional economies. We’ll address recent ratings downgrades and overseas investment sentiment and activity in Israel; the state of SME finance; venture, growth stage, and scale-up opportunities through tech-led business; and project finance in sectors crucial to Israel’s recovery. The panel will also discuss the requirements and objectives of the nascent National Recovery Administration currently in progress, to be presented at the Milken Institute Financial Innovations Lab in June, and examine ways and means of building co-innovation teams to reduce time to market for firms, technologies, and projects generally and specifically in the Western Negev.
