This session will provide a venue to amplify funding sources to enhance site capability, build capacity for community serving organizations, and develop innovative digital and technology-enabled modalities to improve access within the biomedical research and clinical trial ecosystem. It will include sharing insights and fostering connections among pharma/biotech leaders, private funders, investors, venture capitalists, and operators and founders of new and established companies. The focus is on new solutions to improve access to biomedical innovation, and to access, representation and equity in clinical trials. Leaders will share how they decide what and where to fund, lessons learned throughout the funder and founder journey, and approaches to funding or investing in companies in the current landscape. This will be an innovation- and action-oriented session with an emphasis on highlighting approaches in the current and future research landscape, innovation, enduring partnerships, and solutions centered on patients, communities, and populations.
