Unlocking Potential in Cardiometabolic Care: Breaking Barriers in Obesity and Diabetes

-

Cardiometabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes are chronic conditions that require multidisciplinary, evidence-based approaches to management and care. Effective management requires an integrated package of interventions—nutritional support, physical activity, and medical care (such as obesity or diabetes management medications, or surgery) in combination with community-based and policy solutions. The long-term benefits of care innovations remain constrained by systemic barriers such as stigma, limited access to evidence-based treatments, fragmented coverage, and gaps in community infrastructure. Experts will examine what it takes to move towards comprehensive chronic care management, and how to address the structural inequities that continue to hinder access and care management. Join us to explore the strategies, technologies, and policies that can help unlock better outcomes for people living with cardiometabolic diseases.
