Asia Summit 2024

Transforming Asian Health Care through Philanthropy (Invite only)

-

To be effective, scientific research aimed at developing a cure or therapeutic for a specific health issue or condition requires collaboration among the many sectors that influence health outcomes of that condition. This alignment of interests ensures that the R&D resources will be directed to where innovation and impact are most needed. Philanthropy in Asia has much to learn from the ambitious, collaborative initiatives in the region that are engineering breakthroughs in health care. How might learnings from broader scientific endeavors and disease-agnostic advancements strategically inform philanthropies keen on transforming heath care in Asia? What are the most urgent gaps in Asian health that could be addressed by strategic philanthropic investment? How can we accelerate the adoption of health-centric policies and develop the infrastructure and tools to bring them to fruition? How might we bridge the dynamic field of Asian philanthropy and the complex health systems in the region?
