Shifting from Reactive to Proactive Health Care

-

As health costs continue to rise globally, it has become clear that the current reactive model of health care is unsustainable. The key to reversing this upward trend in costs lies in preventing disease before it occurs. This shift to a proactive health-care approach focuses on early intervention, regular screenings, and public health initiatives aimed at addressing the root causes of chronic diseases. Can such a proactive health-care model be integrated into existing reactive health-care systems? How can governments and health-care institutions incentivize preventive care practices? How can technology and data analysis play a role in predicting and preventing diseases?
