Reimagining Mental Health: Innovation at the Intersection of Care and Technology

-

Mental health conditions are rising globally and projected to cost the world economy $6 trillion by 2030, increasing the pressure to scale innovative solutions. Breakthrough technologies—like AI-powered therapy, virtual reality and simulation-based exposure and medical training tools, prescription digital therapeutics, and hybrid care models—promise to expand access and reshape how we deliver mental health therapies. But as innovation accelerates, there's a risk of losing sight of what makes us well in the first place: authentic, human connection, time in nature, community, and a sense of purpose. This session explores how to bring these paradigms together—leveraging digital solutions to meet human needs, examining questions like: How can we harness the power of new technologies while honoring the essential, irreplaceable elements of mental well-being? How can the public and private sectors work together to amplify mental health innovations?
